For content writers and editors

Content And Writing

Project management for editorial teams and content writers, with a calendar that shows the month at a glance and the brief, brand voice and conversation about each piece on the same project page. Plan the publishing schedule, commission the writing, edit the drafts and sign off, without spreading the work across four tools.

Create more. Manage less.

A Month Of Content On One Calendar

The Content Calendar shows a month at a time, with each piece as a task on its day. Each task has a title, a responsible person, a status and a list. Use a list for each channel, like the newsletter, the blog and Instagram, and select one in the All lists menu to see only that channel's plan. Import an ICS file to bring in what's already planned in another calendar app.

Writing On The Page

Write briefs, outlines and drafts on the project page with the Text Editor. Upload your client's fonts so the draft looks the way it will when it's published, and add placeholder text to lay out a page before the copy is written. Type @ to mention the editor, or # to link to a task, a meeting or a moodboard, so the reference is one click away.

Brand Guidelines Every Writer Can Find

Keep the style guide, brand guidelines, approved images and interview transcripts in your inventory, with a category for each client. Search finds a file by any part of its name or its notes, and an Inventory List on a project page shows the client's files where the writers need them. Collect comments from readers and clients in User Feedback, sorted into Positive, Neutral and Negative.

Approval Before Anything Goes Out

Before the month starts, hover Share and select Send to client to send the page with the Content Calendar. Your client creates a free Formta account, or signs in, comments and approves the calendar, and you see their comments highlighted on the page. When someone needs a copy, export the calendar as a PDF, CSV, XLSX, JSON or ICS file.
